Murals around the world!

Concrete Canvas Street Art Festival x You Are Not Alone Murals

This past May You Are Not Alone Murals had the honor of collaborating with Concrete Canvas Street Art Festival in Chelmsford, England. As part of the Festival, the incredible SKYHIGH traveled to Chelmsford to create a meaningful and impactful mural on the building of Renew Counseling. The mural holds special significance as it was created during Mental Health Awareness Month. It is now a permanent message of hope and solidarity for anyone that needs it.

Thank you to SKYHIGHCandy Joyce and Concrete Canvas Street Art Festival for their support and collaboration!

Featured Mural: Malé Cuellar x Escuela de Comunicación Mónica Herrera

Mural painted by Malé Cuellar and Students at Mónica Herrera, Escuela de Comunicación Mónica Herrera, Santa Tecla, El Salvador

Artist bio: This group was lead by Malé Cuellar, a teacher at The School of Communication at Mónica Herrera. The school is an educational university, they provide degrees in communication and digital strategy, strategic design, and integrated marketing communications. They also provide executive education in UX design, neuro communication, adaptive leadership, social innovation, advanced marketing, internationalEOBS, and business management.

Artist statement: Mental health is an issue that is rarely talked about between teenagers and young adults. Some of the students might struggle with situations they don't know how to affront or to process by themselves. It is important as a Design School that they know that if they are coping with any problem or issue, they can always count with the school. We at Mónica Herrera, want to show support and empathy to our students.

Thank you Malé for your incredible mural and for cultivating community and connection with these students!

It is our hope to continue to build partnerships between You Are Not Alone Murals and schools. Are you an educator or someone who has a connection to a wall at a school? Please get in touch!

Mental Health Tip for the Summer

Summer can be marked by vacation and fun, but it can also be a time when we feel dysregulated and out of routine.

Struggling to feel OK? Make a safety plan.

Have a step-by-step plan ready for if/when you feel depressed or in crisis, so you can start at step one and continue through the steps until you feel safe.

Having a template on hand with an established plan may be helpful, or you can get help and guidance at mysafetyplan.org/.
