You Are Not Alone murals are self initiated public murals created by artists for their communities

There is no application and no approval process. We believe in the power of diverse artists–regardless of skill level–to contribute to this collective message. Painting a You Are Not Alone Mural is a self-directed journey with a few straightforward requirements and the option for support from our dedicated team.

  • Fill out the form below to let us know you’re interested in painting a You Are Not Alone mural.

  • You will be added to our monthly artist newsletter with upcoming opportunities and monthly artist zoom call info.

  • If you are an experienced mural painter with a wall ready to rock we will reach out to you directly about setting up an individual call to see if there is any additional support we can provide before you get started.

  • Everyone on the artist roster is invited to join one of our interested artists calls held monthly and share our artist resources for securing a wall. Info will be in the monthly artist newsletter.

  • The artist roster is kept and reviewed for all potential wall opportunities that we secure. (Less than half of the murals are managed by our organization)

You Are Ready to Paint

For your mural to be considered an official part of the You Are Not Alone collection, simply follow the requirements.

Requirements

  1. Permission to Paint: Ensure you have the green light to paint. Collaboration and respect are at the heart of our movement.

  2. Color Palette: yellow, black, grey, and white only.

  3. Message: Feature the phrase “You Are Not Alone”. All languages are not only welcome, but celebrated.

  4. Document your mural: We will use the photos and video you provide to include on our website and social and add to our official mural list.

  5. Tag Us: Be sure to include @youarenotalonemurals on your mural.

Have your mural included in our project

  • Fill out the “Completed Mural” Form. This form is for artists to submit the final images of their work, their bio and artist statement. This ensures that their piece will be included in our project, website and social media.

  • We encourage you to share as many photos and videos as possible.

  • We will reach out to you about potential interview opportunities if you are interested in sharing your story.
