Artist Bio: Bree Chapin is a visual artist of the studio and the street, based primarily in Lisbon and New York City. Her portraiture and figurative work is known for its provocative themes and use of bright, assertive colors. Bree’s work has been exhibited regularly for over a decade around the world.
Artist Statement: “Be kind, for everyone you meet is facing a struggle you don’t see” Every person faces pain, loneliness, sadness, and other difficulties at one time or another. I certainly have. Knowing that someone else cares—even if you can’t see them—can make a huge difference. I believe art has immense power, and the statement, “you are not alone” is such a simple yet potent reminder of our shared human experience. I am grateful and honored to paint alongside so many amazing fellow artists as we share this heartfelt message.
