Artist Bio: Our entity is an association to help people with mental health problems and their families, created in Vigo in 1987 to improve the quality of life of these people. We develop all types of activities from our centers to improve your well-being and social integration. We learned about the mural project and decided to do our part, creating a collaborative mural among the people who make up DOA Saúde Mental.
Artist Statement: From our association we know well the importance of mental health and the relevance of a public health problem such as suicide, in fact we carry out several preventive programs. This year we were aware of the you're not alone movement and it seemed to us that being part of it with the creation of a collaborative mural commemorating World Suicide Prevention Day could, on the one hand, connect the people we serve by involving them in a prosocial activity endowed with important significance, as well as helping to make a social problem visible and instilling hope, solutions and support. Because "you are not alone!!"
