Artist statement: I’m so honored to participate in the @youarenotalonemurals project again this year. I have been working on this since it’s inception a few years ago and I can’t tell you how much it means to me to use my skills and talents to do things that make a difference in the world! And I know that these murals really do make a difference because of all the comments and DMS I receive from all of you, telling me your thoughts and expressing appreciation for this project and for my murals. Thank you all for communicating these things to me, its so wonderful to hear and its so validating to know that we are really making a difference.
I love this project because mental health is so important to me, and also very close to home. As you may know, I lost my youngest sister to suicide and I watched her battle severe mental health challenges for so much of her life. The truth is, people don’t talk about mental health… which is just part of health… and we can change that by talking about it. The best way I know how to get people talking about it is by painting the words on a massive wall. And it’s amazing how many people all of a sudden are talking about it when its larger than life right in front of you.

Thank You: I am grateful for @dirtybandits and @sam_schutz for their dedication to this project and I also want to give a huge shout out to David, the GM at @thewilliamvale who has supported this project so much and to paint this wall in the plaza at The William Vale Hotel is so major. This wall is about 50 ft long and 12 ft high and it slanted, so a huge challenge to paint. (And photograph LOL). But I’m very pleased with the wall, I love this design and the message is so valuable and special. Also shout out to my assistant @jessie.salinas who is a brilliant artist and human. Special thanks to @elleresqphoto for the amazing photography, and this wall was painted with love and @montanacans 🤍
