Artist Statement: Since last year, I’ve been laying in this fetal pose on my carpet a lot. Feeling overwhelmed by everything - from personal to global level - with all kinds of heavy thoughts floating through my mind. For the Chinese version I chose 你不是孤獨一人 . Because the word 孤獨 is more about the internal feeling, a lonely mentality. I felt grateful that I got to experiment with lettering in both languages, a challenge I enjoyed very much . Also enjoyed painting next to amazing artists and enjoyed the comradeship. I hope everyone who felt this pose a lot, like me, could embrace themselves when they see this painting.
